Revell 03229 1:76 Scale Panzer Pzkpfw Ii Aus.F (German Ww2 Tank) Plastic Model Kit
The Panzer II was the second German tank of the Second World War and was initially designed as a stopgap while more advanced tanks were developed. The Ausf. F variant, which is depicted in the Revell model kit, was developed in 1941 and featured reinforced front and side armor. However, by this point in the war, the Panzer II had become outclassed by the enemy tanks it was facing.Despite its limitations, the Panzer II saw service in several theaters of the war, including Poland, France, Russia, and North Africa. In the latter theater, it was used by the German Afrika Korps (DAK), which fought against British and Commonwealth forces. The DAK initially had great success in North Africa but was ultimately defeated in 1943.The Revell 03229 model kit includes two figures and a diorama base showing ruins, adding to the historical accuracy of the model. The rotating gun turret and flexible soft plastic tracks also enhance the realism of the kit. The model is an authentic representation of the Pz Rgt 8, 15th Pz Div, DAK in North Africa from 1941-1942, as well as the 5th Light Division, DAK, also in North Africa, in 1941.Overall, the Revell 03229 model kit provides an excellent opportunity for modelers to recreate a piece of World War II history with a high level of detail and accuracy.
